It’s been a harsh and snowy winter and your car is feeling it as much as you are, so show it some love this holiday. Here are some tips to help your car feel refreshed and appreciated.

Car Wash

Calgary has been through a huge dump of snow and even a bit of rain! So start your day off with a pampered bath and run your car through the car wash. Show your car how much you care by buying the best one possible, if you can afford it.

Tidy the Interior

The recent snow storm means that you’ve probably tracked all kinds of dirt, grime and salt into your vehicle. Now just soap and water isn’t going to do the trick, I would suggest buying specialty wipes and sprays (such as Armor All products) formulated for cleaning hard to clean dirt. Don’t forget to clean out the trash that might’ve gotten stuck in the small nooks and crannies.

Buy some Fragrance

Car fragrances have come along way, we are no longer forced to use those super strong smelling pine fresheners that always seem to give you a headache. Nowadays they are almost as good as perfume. Being mid-winter, your car probably is starting to smell stale and musty after all that moisture stuck inside from melting snow. Firstly, I would suggest getting a moisture absorber or dehumidifier for your car and then top it off with some sort of air freshener. Sometimes you can find both these things in one product. Winter mats will help prevent dirty snow and water from being soaked into your carpets.

Buy Something for Yourself

I don’t know about you, but during the holidays I always like to treat myself. So why should Valentine’s Day be any different? For example, you could buy an upgraded sound system, or a phone holder, or even a new radio unit that is Bluetooth compatible so you can play your music through Bluetooth.

Valentine’s Day is all about taking care of your loved ones, so treat your car to a full service check up. Make sure to include things that maybe you don’t normally get checked like body damage, brake fluid, brake pads and rotors, tires, internal and external tests and engine, fuel and drive systems.
